My history
LES COURTOISES is a women’s handbag brand that I recently created in 2023.
I draw my inspiration from the spirit of the times, from the royal courts, from antiquing, as well as from my numerous travels to create an ultra feminine, glamorous, colorful and contemporary universe.
I name my brand LES COURTOISES in homage to women and courtesy but also to celebrate “French” chic.
My passion for fabrics, fashion and accessories is not new. It developed more than 20 years ago in the world of decoration where I worked: I was already mixing colors, materials, fabrics, velvet (lots of velvet!) and accessories.
Many years later, when I was looking for a bag to accessorize an outfit and couldn't find what I wanted in stores, I tried to create it myself. I pulled out all the fabrics I had kept in my drawers for centuries and started experimenting with sewing. From decoration, I moved on to bags! This is how my creative handbag project was born.
DESCRIPTION OF BAGS
The Valentin bag (named after my youngest son) is the very first model from my brand. It is a handbag with a quilted flap, BI material in fabric and velvet OR fabric and calfskin, depending on the model.
For my first collection, it is available in 7 different materials and colors.
